Why have rising incomes not greatly increased happiness? A brief explication of one theory, drawing on the distinction between comfort goods such as watching TV, shopping or drinking, and creative activities such as baking, playing guitar or gardening (the latter making us more happy).

Because we are knocking at the wrong doors. True happiness doesn't come from the materials. It is the Almighty God who grants happiness. We should go to the right place and right person to find true happiness. Jesus, the prince of peace, he and only he can give us true happiness and satisfaction. There is no end to the material products in this age. These things are thought to be giving us comfort and happiness. But, they cannot give peace and true happiness. Ultimately, it is Jesus and Jesus only. Why not try him once when we tried thousands?
